More Miracles on Casa Josef’s Street!

In December, we were witnesses to a Christmas miracle on Strada Decembrie (December Street). Now, by God’s amazing grace, we are witnessing Christmas in July! Christmas Miracles, that is.

Last December, we shared the miraculous news that Pami and Gabi were granted educational visas allowing them to live and study in the United States. The girls have been attending Victory Christian School in Tulsa, OK while living with their host family.

Well, it is our joy to share the news that all of our girls from Casa Josef are finding their way into families! Three through international adoptions available to Romanian citizens living abroad and five girls are coming though educational visas. Anca and Dumitru Toderic are adopting Dia and Dora; Andrew and Christine Lucaciu are adopting Delia. Only since August 2016 have international adoptions been opened to Romanian citizens living abroad. You can read more about the Toderic’s adoption here and the Lucaciu’s here. God has made streams in the desert for all of our girls and we stand amazed by His love and grace.

Casa Josef began as a miracle twenty-five years ago. Ana Lucaciu saw something few others took time to notice—the fatherless. She knew the plight of these children broke the heart of God and she did something about it. Opening an orphanage wasn’t easy, and maintaining it hasn’t been either, but miracle by miracle, Casa Josef came to be and became a house of hope for many.

So, what’s next? Casa Josef is still operating as oversight for the five girls in the US on educational visas. Quarterly reports must be filed with the Romanian government while the girls are in school; Casa Josef staff will maintain and file those required documents.

The building will be used in the short-term as a conference center. Beginning with Peter Lucaciu’s Freedom of Religion conference slated for October. Several other Christian and local organizations have also expressed interest in renting those spaces for conferences. The ministry’s long-term goal for the building is to establish a Christian Kindergarten or after-school program.

Please pray for our girls as they adjust to this exciting new chapter of life. Please also pray for the work of the ministry moving forward. REMM continues to grow partnerships with local Gypsy, Hungarian, and Romanian church leaders; minister to the poor through our Agape Ministry; do the work of evangelism; and seek open doors of opportunity for the gospel. REMM is committed to build relationships to improve the quality of life and bring the good news of Jesus to those communities. God has many more miracles in store and we are excited to see the ways He is moving in Romania!
